Words are magic, uniquely portable sounds that help humans understand and communicate with each other.
I have lost track of the number of times I have been asked how do you increase your vocabulary?
Honestly, I do not know. Sometimes when I am writing, a word just pops into my head that seems so right and somehow it manages to convey everything I want to convey. Sometimes I even have to search for the definition of this word, and 99% of the time the word is correct. I have no idea how it popped into my head just when I was in search of it!
Maybe because of the reading, that my mind remembers words more in the context that it is used.
When I had to cram words for pre mba examinations like CAT, I hardly remembered the words I was asked to learn from the word cards. Which was a list of words and meanings.
